Most Powerful Insight Using Research

Entries should demonstrate outstanding use of market or supporter insight derived from research (either qualitative and/or quantitative), in the development of a fundraising strategy or in informing successful fundraising execution.

Entries should demonstrate how research-based intelligence played a pivotal role in the development of a fundraising strategy or in informing successful fundraising execution.

May be entered by any IoF member fundraising organisation (in tandem with their supplier(s) where appropriate). The majority of the project's time span must fall within the calendar year 2019.

Strengths of your entry:
Why should your entry win? Please provide three characteristics or reasons that summarise what sets your research project apart from the rest of the field. (200 words max)

Objectives/background context:
Describe the circumstances in which the project was initiated. What were the challenges faced by the organisation; what business drivers shaped the resulting goals - and what were those goals? (200 words max).

How was the initiative developed to achieve its objectives? What was smart about the approach to the solution? Describe the research strategy adopted and summarise the techniques used. What issues were encountered and how were they addressed? (300 words max).

Results and insights:
Summarise the key results and insights delivered by the project. Did they conform to expectations and/or targets, and if not, how? What benefits (direct and indirect) were delivered to the organisation by this project? Specifically, how did it impact on your fundraising effectiveness? Please note that the provision of results is vital for the judging process and must be supplied. If you do not wish specific results to be published, please indicate this. However, please do consider providing measures that can be made public to explain why your project was successful, for example, by indexing etc. (300 words max).

Nomination Summary
Please provide an approved summary of your entry - this summary will be published in the awards ceremony programme if your entry is successful. (100 words max).

Supporting Image Upload
Please attach an image, such as a photo or logo, to illustrate your nomination on the website and printed materials should your entry be successful.
The file should be in JPG, BMP or PNG formats, big enough for use in printed material, but not greater than 2MB in size.
The image file should be titled with the name of your organisation plus the name of the relevant award category.
